We invite you to be part of a unique event that brings together veterans of field hockey from various parts of Europe. The Octopus Hockey Festival is not just a tournament; it is a celebration of sport, camaraderie, and fun. Come and enjoy an unforgettable weekend where the passion for hockey is combined with recreational activities and culinary experiences that will delight your palate.
During the festival, you will have the opportunity to compete with players from different countries, share anecdotes, and forge new friendships in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. In addition to the exciting matches, we have prepared a variety of recreational activities that will keep you entertained and active.
And we cannot forget the gastronomy: delight your senses with a selection of typical dishes and local specialities that will make your experience even more memorable.
Don't miss the chance to be part of this exceptional event. You can register as a team or even as an individual player without a team (and we will find one for you).
Registration = Hockey + Food + Party
With the registration, you will have the right to:
- Participation in the competition and in the activities organised during the tournament.
- 2 packs of water (18 litres).
- Food in the countryside on Saturday.
- Dinner at the restaurant on Saturday.
- Traditional food in the field tent on Sunday.
- Trophies.
- Any other promotion that the organisation makes available to the participants.
Furthermore, we encourage you to go out partying with us after dinner. Everyone would pay for their own drinks.
During the competition (Saturday and Sunday morning), drinks will be available for purchase on the field.
NOTA: La cena del viernes es opcional y requiere un pago adicional de 20€ por persona.
Team Registration
The deadline to register the team will be 22 August 2025.
The teams that pay the pre-registration before 30th June will pay €100 per player, while the teams that do so after that date will pay €120 per player.
To register a team, three steps must be followed:
- Pre-register the team by clicking the "register" button (top right), choosing whether the pre-registration payment (€300) will be made before or after 30th June.
- First payment: team pre-registration. You must pay €300 by bank transfer. This amount is non-refundable, except in cases of demonstrable force majeure (death of a participant, inability of the team to travel, or collective illness of the team).
- Second payment: team registration. It must be made before 22nd August. Pay, also by bank transfer, the amount resulting from subtracting €300 from the total cost of the team. To calculate this amount, the following procedure will be followed:
- Pre-registration payments before 30th June: SECOND PAYMENT = (no. of players x £100) – £300
- Pre-registration payments from 1st July: SECOND PAYMENT = (number of players x £120) – £300
Examples:
a) A team of 15 players pre-registers before 30th June and pays €300 before that date. The second payment will be €1200, which is the result of: 15 x €100 - €300.
b) A team of 15 players pre-registers before 30th June, but pays the €300 after that date. The second payment will be €1500, resulting in: 15 x €120 - €300.
d) A team of 15 players pre-registers after 30th June and, therefore, pays the €300 after that date. The second payment will be €1500, resulting in: 15 x €120 - €300.
Payments will be made by bank transfer (or deposit at any ABANCA office) indicating the team name in the description.

Once each payment has been made, it will be necessary to send the payment receipt to the following email address: gomi95@hotmail.com
The registration for the tournament will be correct and complete when the total amount of the registration fee (first and second payment) has been paid.
Registration of players without a team
If any player wishes to register and does not have a team, they may do so; the same rules that apply to teams will be enforced.
The deadline to register as an uncontracted player is 22 August 2025.
The players who pay their registration before 30th June will need to pay €100, while those who pay after that date will need to pay €120.

- Payment of the registration as a player without a team. Payment must be made via bank transfer:
- Payments before 30th June: €100
- Payments from 1st July: €120

Friday dinner
The dinner on Friday night is OPTIONAL, so it is NOT included in the registration fee. If you wish to attend, you must pay €20 per person before 22nd August. After the dinner, we will go out to the pubs in Ourense, with each person paying for their own drinks.
